RICARDO TORRES

Born in the heart of Orange County and raised in the city of San Juan Capistrano, CA. Ricardo Torres was built on hard work long before he ever strapped into a race car. The son of parents who immigrated from Mexico to the USA, Ricardo grew up watching his mother and father dedicate themselves entirely to providing for their family. With one sister and one brother, Ricardo is the youngest of three, raised in a household where sacrifice, responsibility, and loyalty were non-negotiable values.

Unlike many racers, Ricardo did not grow up in a racing family. His career started at an age when most competitors already had years of experience behind them. His parents had no background in motorsports and no understanding of off-road racing. They were focused on work, family, and building opportunity. At age 10 Ricardo discovered his passion for auto mechanics which allowed him to understand the foundation and tactics of a car. His intelligence and understanding opened the doors in the automotive industry at an early age giving him the opportunity to dismantle and build diesel engines. As any young kid dreaming of one day becoming a racer he dreamed of opening a path for himself one day.

His opportunity came when David Pedder and the Pedder Racing Team gave him the trust to build, prepare and race. That opportunity became the foundation of his racing career. Through mentorship and relentless work ethic, Ricardo embraced the moment and proved he belonged.

Everything he learned about the sport, he earned.
